- Saturday, June 2, 2018; 11:00 AM - Grave marking ceremony for patriot Absalom Townsend
The Ft. Crailo Chapter NSDAR is holding a grave marking ceremony for patriot Absalom Townsend.
This will occur at the Beverwyck Cemetery in Rensselaer, NY on June 2, 2018 at 11am. Attendees are planned
to include several local dignitaries, musicians from the Rensselaer High School Music Department, Boy Scouts
from Brunswick Troop 537 and descendants of Pvt. Townsend. There will also be a reception following the
event at the Rensselaer Library.

- Wednesday, July 4, 2018 10:00 AM - The 15th Annual Citizenship Ceremony
A joint event, with other organizations, held on the lawn of the Saratoga National
Historical Park's Visitor's Center, in the Town of Stillwater, NY. A great patriotic event held
on America's Birthday at one of the area's premier scenic sites at the place where the
"Turning Point of the American Revolution" occurred!
A much anticipated event!

- Sunday, August 05, 2018, 1:00 pm step-off - Come join us as we march and ride in the
Schuylerville, NY Turning Point parade.
A great parade so
bring your family and friends as everybody loves a parade!
There is shuttle service from the parade end point, the Schuyler House on south Broad
Street, to the high school / Pearl Street line up area for those of us that don't care
to walk up to Pearl Street.
The preferred dress is an open white shirt and dark
slacks or period clothing. Please stick around after the parade for
a photo even if you're participating with another group.
- Sunday, September 16, 2018, 2:00 pm - Our Annual Wreath Laying at stop #2
of the Saratoga National Park's Tour Road (DAR Monument).
The wreath laying is at Stop 2 (DAR Monument)
of the Saratoga National Historical Park Tour Road in Stillwater, NY.
A moving and colorful event commemorating those who fought here and those who
serve in America's military.
A meeting will be held at 4:30 PM and a dinner will follow at

- Wednesday, October 17th, 2018, 10 AM -
Surrender Day Ceremony, Fort Hardy Park,
The chapter and the state society will lay wreaths at the Surrender
Day event which is held by other organizations. This is a very well done event and
includes a re-enactment of the sword surrender by General Burgoyne to General Gates.
Note: As this event involves young school children it is subject to cancelation
if there is a threat of inclement weather.
