Several chapter members traveled to Rome, NY on Saturday, May 17, 2014 to attend the
Empire State Society's Annual Meeting which was held at the Franklin Hotel.
The chapter claimed the Society's Addams Cup for registering the most new members in 2013 (twenty-five).

Mrs. Katherine "Kitty" Fitzpatrick, wife of dual chapter member Joseph B. Fitzpatrick
received the Daughters of Liberty Award from outgoing President Richard W. Sage. Kitty
was instrumental to the success of the November 2013 State Board of Mangers meeting
and can be found taking and sharing her photos. Thanks Kitty - we all appreciate you!

Dual chapter member Joseph B. Fitzpatrick and President of the Schoharie-Leatherstocking
Chapter received the Silver Good Citizenship award from President Sage for the effort
he put forth for the Society during his term. Joe is a very dedicated SAR and a
willing volunteer. Congratulations on your award Joe.

Past Society President Col. Peter K. Goebel (Ret.) was presented with the Distinguished
Service Award by President Sage. Peter is a 20 year member of the SAR and is active at
all levels and was a great help to President Sage during his term. Congrats, Peter - very
well deserved.
