The creek flowed gently between its snowy banks in February, reflecting sunlight on the historic brick building
that’s served the community for more than 200 years.
The Saratoga Battle Chapter paused to recognize The Factory Eatery & Spirits and staff in Ballston Spa during
its Annual Meeting held there on February 22, 2026.
The building at 20 Prospect Street served as a grist mill and sawmill in the 1800s before it was operated as a
bag and paper company then a chocolate factory.
The family-owned facility not only serves the community with food and spirits and banquet facilities –
they also employ dozens of people.
Chapter President Edward Munger Jr. presented Manager Cara Gifford with a Certificate of Appreciation and the
gift of a framed Battle of Saratoga oversized Post Card – one of several donated to the Chapter by a Saratoga Springs family.
