The Saratoga Battlefield was the site of the third Independence
Day Citizenship Ceremony. The Chapter which has been a
joint sponsor from the start again played an active role
in planning the ceremony and participated in it.
Chapter Officer's George Ballard and Duane Booth each
participated in the planning meetings as well as Past
President Rick Saunders and Charles Walter.
The event began with musical selections by the Sons and
Daughters Fife & Drums;

followed by a musket volley by SNHP staff & volunteers,

and the presentation of colors by Boy Scout Troop 6 of Glens Falls.

Danielle McMullen of Broadalbin sang a beautiful rendition
of our National Anthem and Jonathan Goebel, Chapter President,
led us in the Pledge of Allegiance.

Frank Dean, Superintendent of the Saratoga National Historical
Park acted as Master of Ceremonies. Greg Connors, Stillwater
Town Supervisor and Roy McDonald Assemblyman from the 112th
Assembly District welcomed the new citizens, their family and
friends and those who came to see the event and welcome the
citizens to America.
