Dear Compatriot Carl:

Since joining the Sons of the American Revolution on June 23, 1975, you have faithfully and tirelessly served our chapter and state society.  In 1977 you stepped in at a time when the chapter was threatened with extinction and called a crucial reorganization meeting.  Since that time, you have served the chapter variously as President, Registrar and Chaplain.

In spite of advancing age and the attendant ailments that come with it, you continue to commit your time to programs important to the chapter and to the SAR: volunteer service at the Saratoga National Veterans’ Cemetery and also at the VA Hospital.

On the occasion of your 90th birthday on February 26, and as a token of our respect, admiration and affection for you, the Officers of the Saratoga Battle Chapter have arranged for a Life Membership for you in the National Society.

Carl, we owe you a lot, and we are all richer for having you as a friend, mentor and dedicated American patriot.

With our deepest respect,

The Officers of the Saratoga Battle Chapter
